Josef A. Ramsauer, ConductorJosef A. Ramsauer was born in 1989 in Mallersdorf (Bavaria). Since 2009 he has studied music theory, education, and science as well as philosophy and composition at the Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. He has studied under the instruction of Tristan Murail, Achim Bornhöft, Walter Schweidler and Kathrin Schlemmer among others. Since 2011 he has worked intensely composing for various projects and institutions such as the Berliner Kammeroper, Austrian Ensemble for New Music and the Orff-Institute. In 2015 he received the european scholarship for young composers of the german royalty collecting society GEMA. Ramsauer is a founder of the performance group eic ata 6 and a creative director of the Ensemble for contemporary music known as New Art and Music Ensemble Salzburg. He is currently teaching music theory and composition at the Haus der Musik in Regensburg. |
